The moment after you’ve happy cried at your engagement is the second that the wedding planning begins. You may not think it has, but quickly, ideas start to roam around your head. How can you create the dream wedding you’ve always wanted? Although planning is way easier said than done, here are a few ideas for a wedding theme that make planning a bit more organized.

1. Vintage Theme

I don’t believe there has ever been a time where we didn’t appreciate the older (and sometimes finer) things in life. Using a vintage them easily allows you to incorporate something old and keeps the mood romantic. Vintage weddings usually use a ton of lace, chandeliers, and roses. One of the most common color schemes for a vintage themed wedding is ivory, dusty rose, and gold. These weddings are very classy and perfect for brides with an elegant taste.

2. Rustic Theme

Rustic weddings have been extremely popular in recent times, and they can be done so many different ways. Many rustic weddings include wood, exposed brick, burlap, and a ton of lights. The rustic theme is wonderful because it can be dressed up with a sense of elegance, and it can also be dressed down to add a country charm. The venue is usually the biggest component to this theme.

3. Happily Ever After Theme

This theme is perfect for all of those women that grew up wishing to be a princess. Your wedding is your special day! Who says you can’t be a princess? Happily ever after is wonderful theme that allows you to model your wedding after any princess and her fairytale. After all, marrying your prince charming is a dream come true! Make your day truly magical by incorporating Cinderella’s glass slippers or Belle’s rose. No matter which princess you love most, there is always a way to decorate your happily ever after!

Unfortunately, not everyone can have a wedding on the beach, but don’t let that stop you. A beach theme will bring the ocean to your special day! This theme has always been a big hit amongst brides, and I don’t see that ending anytime soon. There are so many DIY options and ways to make your beach theme different from everyone else’s. By using a beach theme, you won’t have to worry about any sand getting in unwanted places. Also, you can use ocean scented candles to make your beach themed wedding even more realistic!

No matter what theme you choose, don’t forget to have fun! Weddings can be really stressful in the planning process. Make sure everyone is on the same page of your theme to avoid minor mistakes. I wish you the best of luck in planning your special day!
