A wedding is the joining of two lovers by heart, body, mind, and soul. And that is great, but what about family? I don’t know about you, but often times when I think of, or more see on TV, couples around holiday times, they often choose one side of the family to visit for one holiday and the other for the next. So I ask,
It makes sense, in all reality that the couple not only join together themselves but the family as well. Kind of like as a show of support. How can we address this in planning your wedding?

I realize that it’s a tradition to set it up this way, but recently I’ve seen signs telling guests to choose a seat rather than a side. It’s a small gesture but it’s a great way to get family and friends to start mingling and getting to know each other (especially if they don’t already). Sure it’s only one night, but perhaps new friendships will be formed in between families and you won’t have to pick which side to visit during the holidays. Or maybe knowing that the families have gotten to know each other, you could host during the holidays and not have to worry about awkward introductions!
